What Is Vaser Lipo?

Vaser ultrasound technology works by using ultrasound waves to break up fat cells from the connective tissue holding them in place, allowing them to be more easily drained from target areas of the body.

The procedure consists of small keyhole incisions, allowing the surgeon to slip cannulae into the layer of subcutaneous fat. The tip of the tube vibrates at ultrasonic frequencies specifically tuned to move and dislodge the fat cells, which are then removed under suction. What Should I Expect After My Vaser Liposuction Procedure?

Vaser Lipo Versus Micro Lipo

While Micro liposuction involves injecting large volumes of dilute local anaesthetic to the areas being treated. This causes firmness or a type of swelling in the area also known as tumescence. Micro lipo uses micro cannulae (cannulae that have a very small diameter – less than 2.3 millimetres.)
